Guesthouse Qeti Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Guesthouse Qeti on Sukhumi Street, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property knows exactly what it’s doing. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Batumi, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup. The building has that solid, well-maintained feel that tells you the owners actually care about their guests’ experience — and honestly, that’s not always a given in this part of the city.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciate about the location — you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the tourist chaos. Sukhumi Street puts you within easy walking distance of the main attractions, but you can actually get some peace when you want it. The fact that there’s free parking on site is huge if you’re driving, because finding a decent spot in central Batumi can be a real headache. I mean, couples seem to love this area (they rate it 8.5 apparently), and I get why — it’s got that sweet spot vibe where you feel connected to the city but not overwhelmed by it.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want from a well-run guesthouse — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve tried in Georgia. The beds are actually comfortable (not just “okay for the price”), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. You know what really impressed me? The attention to small details — proper lighting for reading, decent water pressure, and windows that actually keep the street noise to a minimum.
Service & Daily Life
The staff here genuinely seem to know what they’re doing, and they’re helpful without being pushy about it. When I needed recommendations for local spots, they gave me actual useful suggestions rather than just pointing me toward the obvious tourist traps. The whole place runs smoothly — housekeeping is reliable, the common areas stay clean, and there’s this relaxed but professional atmosphere that makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another booking number.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Guesthouse Qeti isn’t going to blow your mind with over-the-top amenities, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually want — a solid, reliable base for exploring Batumi that doesn’t break the bank. The combination of the great location, free parking, and consistently good service creates this sweet spot where you feel like you’re getting genuine value. Recent guests rate the location highly for good reason, and after staying here, I totally understand the appeal. It’s the kind of place you’d actually recommend to friends without any hesitation.

What could be improved: Nothings to say as complainPleasant – Jeanette from New Zealand – July 10, 2024 (6/10)
Close to the city centre
What could be improved: Your private bathroom is located outside of the bedroom in a corridor nearby which is not what we were expecting. We visited in June when it was very hot and there was no form of cooling available which made the room rather hot. There is no signage outside the property so it makes it difficult to see if you are in the right locationExceptional – Lucas from Brazil – June 20, 2024 (10/10)
Very friendly, available and helpful hosts. Simple but well equipped place for solo or pair/couple travelers.
Wonderful place/Value for money – Edgar from Lebanon – April 4, 2024 (10/10)
The owner is a very kind lady, just ask her if you need any help. They are a nice Georgian family living at the opposite house, same yard.
The room is comfy with a private toilet, very good for that price! Quiet place at night, kitchen has all necessities, and 2 toilets/bathrooms.
Hot water all the time. WiFi works very well.
Location is alright with many shops nearby, and 20min walk to main attractions.
This guesthouse exceeded my expectations. I'm really surprised that it doesn't have way higher total reviews score, it really deserves 9+Good value for money – Boris from Israel – November 2, 2023 (8/10)
