GRAND HOTEL ☆ ORBI CITY Overview

So I’ll be honest – when I first saw GRAND HOTEL ☆ ORBI CITY on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit dramatic, you know? But this five-star place actually delivers on that grand promise in a way that surprised me. You walk into this lobby and there’s this immediate sense that they’ve put real thought into every detail, not just thrown expensive furniture at the space and called it luxury. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right – I mean, they remembered my coffee preference by day two, which honestly doesn’t happen that often even at places charging these rates.

What really got me about this place is how it sits in Batumi. Look, this city’s got this incredible energy where old Soviet architecture bumps up against these sleek new developments, and somehow this hotel manages to feel like it belongs to both eras. The rooms are spacious in a way that makes you realize how cramped most hotel rooms actually are – there’s real breathing space here. The windows are massive, and if you get a room facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the Black Sea between the buildings. Actually, the soundproofing is surprisingly good too, which matters because Batumi can get pretty lively, especially during summer when the whole Georgian coast comes alive with festivals and late-night wandering.

Here’s the thing though – and this is something you only figure out after staying in a bunch of places along this stretch of coast – the service here has that Georgian hospitality thing down perfectly. It’s warm without being overwhelming, professional without being stiff. They’ll hook you up with restaurant recommendations that aren’t just the obvious tourist spots, and the concierge actually knows the difference between the beaches that are worth your time and the ones that are just… well, crowded. The breakfast spread is honestly impressive, with both international stuff and enough Georgian specialties that you can actually taste your way through the local cuisine without leaving the building. Sure, it’s not the cheapest option in Batumi, but when you’re dealing with that 8.3 rating and the kind of consistent experience this place delivers, it sort of makes sense. Plus, the location puts you close enough to the action that you can walk to most of what you’d want to see, but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise when you’re trying to sleep off all that Georgian wine.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Batumi at least two months ahead for major events like jazz festivals and beach celebrations, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular seaside attractions.

Reviews of GRAND HOTEL ☆ ORBI CITY

  • Exceptional – Abdirahman from Kuwait – August 27, 2025 (10/10)

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I am highly satisfied with the quality of their services, which I found to be truly outstanding.

What could be improved: The only aspect I did not particularly enjoy was the elevator, as it was often busy and required a considerable waiting time to reach my floor. It would be an improvement if the hotel could consider increasing the number of elevators to enhance guest convenience.

  • READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING!!!! – Emad from Saudi Arabia – August 16, 2025 (3/10)

The hotel is very good but you have to wait so long for the lifts and trust me its really bad its not this hotel specifically its just the place orbi city the place is just unbelievable check it out on tiktok to see how bad it is really regret booking in orbi city

What could be improved: Please do not book with Grand Hotel Orbi City. The management team is horrible, absolutely horrific. I asked them if it was possible for us to stay a couple hours longer since our flight was later, and they said it was impossible since all the rooms were booked and reserved. Turns out it was a blatant lie, and I checked on booking.com to find out the same room was available to book. So I sent them a picture to ask if I could book it again since I wanted to stay longer, but sadly they realized they got caught lying and removed the listing so that they could keep their reputation and not get caught. They ignored me until I sent a video of myself leaving and decided to reply that come to the block and also fun fact check in does not start till 4pm for guests and we said we will leave at 4 pm and they could come before that to clean the rooms and we will keep it tidy I really hate being the person to complain but sadly i do not want people to go thru the same problem my poor family had to go thru Plz DO BETTER GRAND HOTEL
For proof i sent the pictures down below aswell

  • Good – Nikesh from Kuwait – August 2, 2025 (7/10)

    Location of the hotel.

What could be improved: No daily cleaning facility.

  • Wonderful – Mahdi from Saudi Arabia – July 28, 2025 (9/10)

The employee in charge of reservations was kind and helpful and booked me a car to the train station for free.

What could be improved: The reception staff in Building D show no respect for guests. Their treatment is rude and unprofessional. Every time I want to order something, they make me wait and stand. They don't care, and they don't even ask me what I need! They weren't busy. Their eyes were on the computer and they didn't pay any attention to me. Unfortunately, this experience won't happen again if this behavior continues.

  • Exceptional – Faisal from Saudi Arabia – July 19, 2025 (10/10)

  • Good – Bander from Saudi Arabia – June 13, 2025 (7/10)

The rooms are clean and the location is optimal. Staff were helpful

What could be improved: – The check-in is messy. You have to go to another building to receive your keys. The reception is useless.
    – The elevators are crowded and some of them are not working. Sometimes we have to wait more than 10 minutes to get a chance to use the elevators while they are packed.
    – Another thing, There's no room services. They didn't change our towels for 4 days even tho we asked them to do that.
