The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with Batumi’s evolving skyline, and the staff greeted me like I was checking into a friend’s place rather than just another four-star hotel.

What really won me over was how they’ve managed to create this calm oasis despite being on a fairly busy stretch of road. The rooms are thoughtfully designed – I mean, someone actually considered where you’d want to plug in your phone and how the bathroom lighting hits your face in the morning. The beds are properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the air conditioning works without sounding like a freight train, which is honestly a blessing during those humid Georgian summers. From my window, I could see the gardens they’ve clearly put effort into maintaining, and there’s something genuinely peaceful about having that green space when you’re in a city that’s constantly buzzing with energy.

The location turned out to be smarter than I initially thought, actually. Sure, you’re not right in the heart of the old town with all the casinos and nightlife, but that Airport Highway position means you can get anywhere quickly without dealing with the summer tourist crowds clogging up the central streets. I found myself appreciating the quieter evenings – you can actually sleep without earplugs, which is rare in Batumi during peak season. The breakfast spread was solid without trying too hard to impress, and the coffee was strong enough to fuel those early morning walks along the Black Sea coast. With an 8.8 rating from other travelers, it seems like I’m not the only one who found this place to be a pleasant surprise. It’s the kind of hotel that doesn’t shout about itself but delivers exactly what you need for a proper stay in this fascinating corner of Georgia.
