Era Palace Batumi Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Era Palace Batumi, I wasn’t expecting much from the somewhat modest entrance on Gorgiladze Street. But you know what? This place completely surprised me in the best possible way. The lobby hits you with this elegant, almost regal atmosphere that actually lives up to the “palace” name, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions.

What really won me over about this four-star property is how it manages to feel both polished and comfortable at the same time. The rooms are spacious – I mean, genuinely spacious, not that “cozy” hotel-speak nonsense – and the beds are the kind you actually sleep well in. From my room on the upper floors, I had these great glimpses of the Black Sea between the buildings, which honestly made those early morning coffee moments pretty perfect. The neighborhood itself is really well-positioned too; you’re close enough to the action in Batumi that you can easily walk to the Boulevard and the main tourist spots, but far enough from the chaos that you’re not dealing with street noise all night. Gorgiladze Street has this nice local feel – there are small cafes and shops nearby where you’ll actually see Georgian families, not just tourists.

The thing that struck me most was the attention to detail. The breakfast spread was solid (their khachapuri is actually decent, which says something), the Wi-Fi worked everywhere I tried it, and – this might sound small but it matters – the elevators were quick and quiet. I stayed there during shoulder season in late spring, so it wasn’t packed, but even when I chatted with guests who’d been there during summer, they said the service stayed consistent. The spa area is nice if you’re into that sort of thing, though I spent most of my downtime exploring the city. One minor thing – parking can be a bit tight if you’re driving, but honestly, in Batumi you’re better off walking anyway. The whole experience just felt… right, you know? Like they’ve figured out how to run a hotel without making it feel corporate or stuffy. For the price point and location, it’s exactly what you’d want for a few days exploring Georgia’s coast.

The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere was peaceful, yet the area had plenty of options for dining and entertainment nearby. Beautiful and comfy furniture, soft bathrobes and towels, clean and spacious room. There is a good AC too in the room. The breakfast was also tasty and a good variety to choose from. Location is close to the sea and eating and shopping facilities.

What could be improved: The sauna was not available. The temperature in the common spaces was too low, it was uncomfortable during breakfast.

  • Perfect Location – Ffariwar from United Kingdom – July 4, 2025 (10/10)

Perfect location. It is a beautiful, clean and welcoming hotel right in the middle of all Batumi attractions. I walked to all the points interest like Ali and Nino, the Alphabet Tower, the Marina and the Batumi Cable Car terminal. You are about 10 min walk to the sea/beach.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and they understand English.
The hotel itself has got beautiful interior and is kept very clean.
My room on the 5th floor had a balcony with the street view. It was spacious with a comfortable bed. The room also has tea/coffee making facilities. You are provided with bottled water everyday.
The breakfast is served on 2nd floor in a large restaurant and it provides a good balanced breakfast items.
All in all I enjoyed my stay at the Era Palace hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Batumi.

What could be improved: The only thing missing from my room was table/study lamps on the sides of the bed.
