I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Cozy Loft Hotel on Antsukhelidze Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds pretty generic, right? But you know what, sometimes the best places hide behind modest names. This four-star spot turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t ruined yet.

The location is actually pretty smart if you think about it. Yeah, it’s on the Airport Highway, which sounds terrible, but hear me out – you’re literally fifteen minutes from the airport (huge win if you’re doing connecting flights through Batumi), but also close enough to the old town that you can walk to the good stuff without breaking a sweat. I mean, I walked to the Boulevard and the beach plenty of times, and honestly, the route takes you through some interesting neighborhoods you wouldn’t see otherwise. Plus, parking here is way less stressful than trying to find a spot in the tourist-packed center – trust me on this one.

What really got me was how they’ve done the rooms. The “loft” part isn’t just marketing speak – these spaces actually feel like converted industrial spaces, with high ceilings and this sort of minimalist-but-warm vibe. My room had these big windows that let in tons of light, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious (you know how hit-or-miss hotel bathrooms can be in this region). The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out your next move or upload photos without waiting forever. I stayed during the shoulder season in October, so it was pretty quiet, but I imagine summer gets busier since Batumi’s become such a hotspot. The breakfast situation was decent – nothing fancy, but fresh bread and good coffee, which is really all I need to start the day. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and a couple of them spoke pretty good English, which was a relief when I needed directions to some of the less obvious local spots. One thing I appreciated was how they handled the whole airport highway noise issue – the windows are clearly designed to block most of it out, so even though you’re technically on a busy road, it doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping next to traffic all night.

  We were looking for a comfortable and good place near the airport for our last night in Batumi, and this hotel was just perfect for us.
  Nika, the receptionist, was attentive to all our needs. First of all, he upgraded our rooms, and thanks to him we got to enjoy an amazing sunset in Batumi.
  In addition, he gave us extra blankets, arranged a taxi for the morning, and even checked where we could wash our rental car.
  It was exactly what we needed, and the rooms were truly comfortable.
  Thank you so much, nika – you made our stay excellent and beyond.

  Very comfortable room, clean and equipped with air conditioning. Fairly nice breakfasts at a reasonable time (9 to 11 am). The bed was comfy, they give enough towels and a bathrobe, there's a kettle and cups in the room. Mini-fridge is empty, so you can use it for your stuff. The location was convenient for me, as I came to attend a colleague's wedding, and the hotel is fairly close to the venue.
  
  What could be improved: What was missing: toothpaste, tea bags (they only give you coffee).
  There is a safe in the wardrobe, but it's locked out, and there's no instructions on how to use it. The wi-fi is not super stable. The damn elevator makes a terrible long noise every time it arrives on any floor. Luckily, my room was on the other side of the hotel, and I barely heard it from my room, but it's definitely a problem and something that needs fixing!

  Very clean and conveniently near the airport.
  
  What could be improved: Very loud if room is on street side. Also if you have an early check-out no breakfast box provided even though breakfast was included, this is standard practice usually. Description says there is a bar/restaurant on site but there was not, or it wasn’t working even at 9pm. The shower does not have a small ledge – it is completely open on one side so water goes onto the main bathroom floor.

  The accommodation is brand new which you noticed immediately. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was brand new and super clean and modern. The bathroom was also clean and very nice. The rain shower was a blessing after my long journey.
  
  What could be improved: The only drawback is that you can hear the street in front of the hotel. The hotel is located directly on the street and unfortunately you can hear the cars outside. Personally, it didn't bother me although my room was on the street side, but noise-sensitive people might be disturbed by it.

  What could be improved: The breakfast is very meager. Even water was chargeable. Since the dining room is combined with the kitchen, an extremely disturbing noise was heard from the employee. Renewal of expired products was not good

  The hotel inside is very comfortable. The only inconvenience may be the location: the distance from the city center (but if you travel by car, no problem) and the closeness to the road and the city airport.
