First Impressions

Walking up to Casa al mare on Mamuladze Street, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. It’s one of those places where the owners clearly put thought into every detail — not in a stuffy, over-designed way, but more like staying at a friend’s beautifully curated home. The four-star property sits in what I’d call the sweet spot of Batumi, where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect — and I’m not just saying that because recent guests gave it a 10.0 rating for location (though that should tell you something). You’re in this lovely residential area that feels authentically Georgian, but you can walk to the Boulevard and beach in about ten minutes. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night — you know how some places in Batumi can be a bit… lively until the early hours? This street actually lets you sleep.

The Accommodation

The room I stayed in had this wonderful sea-themed touches that never felt cheesy — I mean, with a name like “house by the sea,” it could’ve gone very wrong, but it didn’t. The space felt generous and airy, with windows that actually open properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is). There’s something about the way the light comes in during the afternoon that makes you want to just sit and read for hours. The beds are genuinely comfortable too — not that rock-hard situation you sometimes get in this part of the world.

Amenities & Atmosphere

What sets Casa al mare apart is how everything just works without being fussy about it. The parking situation is sorted — which, if you’ve driven in Batumi, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. The staff have this lovely way of being helpful without hovering, and they actually know the area well enough to give you proper recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots. I particularly loved how they set up the common areas — there are these little corners where you can have coffee and plan your day without feeling like you’re in a hotel lobby.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.8 rating really makes sense once you’ve been there — it’s the kind of place that gets the fundamentals right and then adds those extra touches that make you remember why you love traveling. Couples especially seem to gravitate toward it, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about the whole setup without it being overly themed or trying too hard. You’re getting excellent value in a city where accommodation can be hit or miss, plus that unbeatable location that puts you right where you want to be in Batumi. It’s the sort of place you’d actually want to return to, which honestly isn’t something I say about every hotel I stay in.

  The building is high quality with excellent design, a stunning lobby and great location.
  It is also quiet at night because the roads behind and in front of the building are not the type that cars can drive fast at night.
  
  The bed sheets are high quality and are comfortable as are the pillows and mattress.
  
  The balcony is lovely and clean with a superb view to the black sea.
  
  The entire apartment is meticulously clean.
  
  What could be improved: There are some flaws in the design of the apartment which results in poor utilisation of space.
  
  The open kitchen has a dining table that is too high and too large.
  It is ideal for people who are 1.95 meters and taller but the vast majority of people cannot use it for comfortable eating.
  
  As there are three tables in the apartment I would get rid of one completely and instead replace the balcony table with a larger table that can double as a dining table.
  
  The sofa is too wide and not useful to sit on (it needs more and larger pillows).
  
  In order to sit on it you need to move the large table so basically a quarter of the apartment is dead-space (better to replace the table with a low coffee table).
  
  The kitchen is missing items that are standard in Batumi rentals such as a Jezve to make Turkish coffee, wine glasses (there is a wine bottle opener but it is of such low quality it is impossible to use so I bought one on the second day else I wouldn't be able to drink wine), a pan to fry eggs (there is a large pan that is only useful for cooking vegetables. If you fry anything, ie eggs they stick to the pan).
  
  A pasta net would also be useful.
  
  I was also missing a broom for sweeping.
  
  The address provided when booking is Mamuladze street and no building number nor unit number was provided until I got access to WiFi and asked the host for it at exactly the time of check in.
  
  Mamuladze was the old name (for more than a decade the street is named Inasaridze street) and it is unnecessarily confusing.
  
  I frequently visit Batumi and I know that Next developers have 3 buildings on Inasaridze street so I naturally went to one of them (it turned out to be the wrong one but they are 250 meters from each other).
  
  I recommend the host gives accurate check in instructions in future as guests who are not familiar with Batumi and are carrying large suitcases will face difficulty with the current set up.

  Отличное место для короткого отдыха, так и более продолжительного проживания! Новый, стильный комплекс, апартаменты с современным ремонтом и всем необходимым для комфортного проживания. До моря всего несколько минут пешком (и отличный вид на него из апартаментов, особенно в ясную погоду), а в округе есть всё, что может понадобиться — торговый центр, магазины, кафе, обменники. Приятное общение с хостом, всегда на связи и готова помочь.

  Впечатления прекрасные! Очень рекомендую данные апартаменты! Уютная атмосфера, вид из окна красивый на море, дизайн квартиры грамотно продуман в каждой детали. Расположение отличное, здесь спокойнее чем в центральной части набережной, кафе и магазины рядом, молл и обменники тоже в доступе. Автобусы и такси ходят часто. Сам комплекс новый, стильно и чисто.
