Bel Mare Boutique Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Bel Mare Boutique Hotel? I honestly wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to this place on Kutaisi Street – I mean, it’s tucked into what feels like a quieter residential stretch of Batumi, away from all the casino glitz near the Boulevard. But the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about creating something special here. The lobby has this warm, intimate feeling that you just don’t get at those massive resort chains dominating the waterfront.
The rooms are where this four-star property really shows its personality. Mine had these gorgeous hardwood floors that creaked just slightly when you walked barefoot (in a charming way, not annoying), and the bathroom – honestly, better than some five-stars I’ve stayed at. They’ve got this rainfall shower that actually has proper pressure, which is rarer than you’d think in Georgian hotels. What I really appreciated was the attention to local touches without going overboard with the theme-park Georgian aesthetic. The balcony overlooked the street, and while it’s not a sea view, there’s something nice about watching the neighborhood come alive in the morning. You’ll hear the occasional car, but nothing that kept me awake – actually much quieter than staying right on the Boulevard where those late-night party buses rumble past.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really explain properly – yes, you’re about a ten-minute walk from the beach and the main tourist strip, but that’s actually perfect. You get to feel like you’re staying somewhere with character instead of just another tourist processing center, but you’re still close enough that grabbing dinner at one of those amazing seafood places near the port is totally doable. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing too, which was refreshing. Check-in was smooth, they had solid restaurant recommendations (not just the obvious tourist traps), and when I had a question about getting to the cable car, the guy at reception drew me an actual map on hotel stationary showing the best walking route. Little things like that make a difference. Look, is it perfect? Well, the WiFi could be stronger in some corners of the building, and breakfast, while decent, isn’t going to blow your mind. But for the price point and the overall experience, Bel Mare hits that sweet spot where you feel like you discovered something rather than just booked a room.

Reviews of Bel Mare Boutique Hotel
The pictures are not 100%, good stay and it does the job. They are clean. – Merai from Jordan – June 12, 2025 (8/10)
For two nights stay i like the location, its at the centre of everywhere, the staff are so helpful, the guy at the reception did extra mile to help us even in preparing coffee from his because places were closed. And kept our staff when we arrived and when we checked out till the moment we left batumi.
The mattress is really comfortable. It is really clean, the cleaners do their job very well.
The balcony is nice, small for two people, but they can use smaller chairs instead of one big chair.
They provide towels and shower robes.
If you are looking for a calm place, this is not the one, as it's in the middle in a very live area.
What could be improved: The bathroom is a bit small, which is okay, but when you shower, expect water to be all over the floor in the bathroom and they don't have a bidet in the toilets if that important for you. There is no toothbrush and no toothpastes.
The pictures are not 100% the hotel.Ok – Ayse from Turkey – May 25, 2025 (7/10)
What could be improved: Stairs to lift, no staff to hell
Good – Elkamali from Turkey – April 10, 2025 (9/10)
It was nice, not bad. My high assessment was deserved by guy in the reception who saved us and made our journey more comfortable. Thank you dear

The location is perfect. The room wad really spacious, comfortable beds and everything was clean with everyday housekeeping.
What could be improved: There was a problem with an elevator. Twice.
The breakfast had no coffee from the coffee machine.Very Good – Yuriy from Georgia – September 15, 2024 (8/10)
Very central location, a quiet hotel
What could be improved: Very poor breakfast (no butter, for example). Tea Turkish style only. Had to change a couple of rooms as one was very humid, another one had a strange smell. Shower leaked.there are better hotels with the same price of this hotel, choose them – Mazyar from Czech Republic – August 16, 2024 (7/10)
It was comfortable room, the view of breakfast was very good. The room was clean
What could be improved: Breakfast was OK, I don't understand why Booking says very good. Also service was not good at all, I had to ask the staff to keep bringing the clean plates and glasses. During the day there was few hours that we did not have hot water, which is unacceptable.Wonderful – Kristinamuliuolyte from Denmark – August 8, 2024 (9/10)
Very clean, great location, friendly staff
What could be improved: The shower cabin was leaking a bit, so after the shower the whole bathroom would get slightly flooded, otherwise everything was great! It’s ok not bad – Rashid from United Arab Emirates – July 20, 2024 (7/10)
Good location and hotel like 3 star not 4 star
What could be improved: Breakfast normal and little menu I don’t like breakfast in hotel
