You know what really surprised me about Batumi’s authentic center? It’s tucked away on this corner spot where Gorgosali meets Gamsakhurdia, and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect if you’re looking to experience the real heart of old Batumi. I mean, you’re literally steps from Piazza – that charming Italian-style square that locals actually hang out in, not just tourists taking selfies.

The building itself has this weathered authenticity that you just can’t fake. It’s a three-star place, but don’t let that fool you – sometimes the star rating system doesn’t capture what really matters. The rooms have character, with those high ceilings you find in older Georgian buildings and windows that actually open (which is surprisingly rare these days). I stayed there during shoulder season and could hear the gentle buzz of street life below, but it wasn’t disruptive – more like a pleasant reminder that you’re in the middle of a living, breathing neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district.

What I loved most was how the staff seemed genuinely local – they’d give you directions using landmarks like “you know, past the bakery with the blue awning” rather than formal street addresses. The woman at reception told me the best time to visit the nearby sulfur baths (early morning, apparently, before the tour groups arrive) and which marshrutka to catch to get to the botanical garden without paying for an overpriced taxi. Actually, speaking of getting around, this spot is perfect because you can walk to both the old town cobblestone streets and the newer boulevard area along the Black Sea. The contrast is pretty striking – one minute you’re wandering past Soviet-era apartment blocks and traditional Georgian balconies, the next you’re looking at these almost Vegas-like modern developments they’ve built along the waterfront. From here, you get the best of both worlds without feeling trapped in either tourist bubble. The morning light hits the corner just right too, and there’s something about waking up to the sound of Georgian being spoken in the courtyard that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something authentic rather than packaged for visitors.

  דירה במיקום מצוין, קרוב לכל האטרקציות, קרוב לבית חב"ד. לדירה מטבח מאובזר עם מקרר וכיריים גז, יש באזור צרכניות קטנות לקניית ירקות ביצים ועוד. יש נוף יפה מהדירה, ושולחן בסלון שנפתח לאכילה. הבעלת הדירה נחמדה מאוד ועזרה לנו הרבה. יש מזגן, ומים חמים תמיד עם זרם חזק. המיטות היו נוחות.
  
  What could be improved: הדירה בקומה שלישית, החלון של החדר פונה לסלון כך שהוא חם יותר (למי שאוהב קור זה חסרון) אבל אפשר לישון בסלון.

  Это великолепные апартаменты, находятся в самом сердце старого города. В очень красивом здании. В квартире есть всё что заявлено. Чувствовали себя как дома, комфортно и уютно! Но самое важное это хозяйка Луиза, добрейшей души человек! Всегда была на связи. Нам переносили рейс несколько раз, мы прилетели глубокой ночью, Луиза вызвала нам такси, встретила нас, оплатила, провела в квартиру. На следующий день показала где обменник с лучшим курсом, рассказала куда стоит ехать, куда не стоит, дала нам грузинскую карточку на время пребывания в Батуми! Вобщем чувствовали как будто приехали к близким родственникам. Когда соберёмся в следующий раз, однозначно остановимся только в этих апартаментах у Луизы! Рекомендуем на 1000%. Луиза Вы лучшая на планете Земля!

  Отличный вариант жилья для семьи из 4 человек, кровати удобные, имеется всё необходимое, магазины и кафе рядом. Пляж в шаговой доступности. Рекомендую всем. Отдельно хочется сказать о хозяйке Луизе :гостеприимная, доброжелательная.
