I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartments NITA on Davit Kakabadze Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard residential building. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside. This three-star setup turned out to be exactly what I needed during my week in Batumi, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a bit. These aren’t tiny hotel rooms – they’re proper apartments with kitchens that work (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some khachapuri with ingredients from the market down the street). The whole building has this quiet, residential feel that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with the usual tourist crowds near the waterfront. Kakabadze Street itself is one of those side streets where you’ll hear more Georgian being spoken than English or Russian, which I loved. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from all the main action – the Boulevard, the beach, those crazy modern buildings that look like they landed from another planet – but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without hearing drunk tourists stumbling around.

What really impressed me was how the staff – well, I guess you’d call them managers since it’s apartments – actually seemed to care about whether you had what you needed. They helped me figure out the washing machine (the instructions were in Georgian, naturally), and when my air conditioning started making weird noises on day three, someone was up there fixing it within a couple hours. The WiFi was solid, which matters when you’re trying to work remotely or video call home. And honestly, for the price point, the apartments are kept up really well. Sure, it’s not luxury – the bathroom could use some updating and the elevator makes sounds that would concern me in any other country – but everything works and it’s clean. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two days because, well, why rush back to a cramped hotel room when you’ve got space to spread out? The 9.2 rating this place gets makes total sense once you realize what you’re getting – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, it’s just trying to be a really good place to stay.

  I liked everything very much, beautiful apartments of large area, normal location. There is necessary for living. Everything were new. We were first guests of booked apartment.The hosts were wonderful people, friendly and welcoming. We arriveed very late, they were waiting for us and met us. Apartment location not city center, but free parking. Beach near house. Thank you

  Very clean apartments with a tasteful interior, spotlessly clean bathrooms with a Muslim shower/handheld bidet on the toilet to ease Muslim travelers, washing machine and dryer available, incredibly friendly and helpful owner, and rain head shower with hot water. These apartments were perfect for the 5 of us, it totally exceeded my expectations. 10/10 would stay here again.
