You know what caught me off guard about Apartment SWEET HOME BEACH TOWER? The view from the upper floors is absolutely stunning – I mean, you’re literally looking out over the Black Sea from this spot on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting that kind of panorama from a three-star place. The building itself is pretty modern compared to some of the Soviet-era stuff you’ll find around Batumi, and while the name might sound a bit over-the-top, they’re not really overselling it. The beach is genuinely a short walk away, maybe three minutes if you’re moving slowly.

What I really appreciated was how the apartment setup gives you actual space to breathe – there’s a proper kitchen where you can store those amazing Georgian wines you’ll inevitably buy too many of (trust me on this), and the living area doesn’t feel cramped like so many hotel rooms do. The host was incredibly responsive when I had questions about getting around the city, which actually matters more than you’d think in Batumi since the marshrutka routes can be confusing if you’re not familiar with them. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for video calls back home, though I’d recommend connecting early in the day before everyone in the building gets online. One small thing – the elevator can be a bit slow during peak times, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for this area of the city.

The location is what really sells this place, though. You’re close enough to the Boulevard to walk there for evening strolls (and those incredible sunset photos everyone posts), but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep at night. There’s a decent grocery store about two blocks away, plus a few local restaurants that don’t cater exclusively to tourists – which means better food at better prices. I particularly loved being able to grab fresh khachapuri in the morning without having to trek into the old town. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places that just works without any drama or surprises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to explore a new city without worrying about where you’re staying.
