The apartment itself is on the 15th floor, and I mean this literally – the views are insane. You get this sweeping panorama of the Black Sea that honestly makes you want to just sit there with your coffee for way too long in the morning. The space feels properly modern (not that trying-too-hard modern, just clean and functional), and everything actually works, which isn’t always a given in this part of the world. The kitchen‘s got real appliances, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the shower has proper water pressure – these details matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that keeps you up at night, and the building feels solid, not like those places where you hear every footstep from upstairs.

The location is what really makes this work though. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Batumi Boulevard – that’s the famous seaside promenade everyone talks about – but you’re also close enough to the old town that you can wander over for dinner without needing a taxi. There’s a decent grocery store nearby (trust me, you’ll want to cook at least a few meals with that kitchen), and the beach access is straightforward. During summer the area gets pretty busy with tourists, but in shoulder season it’s got this perfect balance of lively but not overwhelming. The building management is surprisingly responsive too – I had a minor issue with the air conditioning and someone showed up within an hour. Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of vacation rentals that promise the world and deliver maybe half of it, but this one actually delivers what it says it will, plus those views that make you understand why people fall in love with the Georgian coast.
