I was expecting just another basic rental, but this place actually has some serious charm tucked away on one of Batumi’s busiest streets. I mean, Melikishvili is literally the main artery through the city – you’ve got marshrutkas rumbling past, people heading to the beach, locals doing their shopping – but somehow apartment 39 on the sixth floor feels like this quiet little retreat above all the action.

The building itself is pretty typical Soviet-era stuff (you’ll recognize the style immediately if you’ve spent any time in Georgia), but honestly, that’s part of what I liked about it. The elevator’s one of those tiny metal boxes that makes you question your life choices if you’re claustrophobic, but hey, it works. Once you’re inside the apartment though, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this a proper three-star experience. The kitchen actually has everything you need – not just the bare minimum like so many rentals – and I was genuinely surprised by how well-stocked it was. There’s decent wifi, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely, and the hot water situation is reliable, which… well, anyone who’s traveled in this region knows that’s not always a given.

What really sold me on the location is how walkable everything is from here. You’re maybe ten minutes on foot to the Old Town, fifteen to the beach if you don’t mind the stroll, and there’s this fantastic little bakery literally across the street that does these incredible khachapuri in the morning – I’m talking fresh-out-of-the-oven good. The apartment gets a bit of street noise during the day (Melikishvili never really sleeps), but it dies down at night, and honestly, I found the gentle hum of city life kind of comforting. Plus, you’re right in the heart of everything without paying those inflated prices you get closer to the waterfront. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done, clean, and the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Batumi rather than just passing through as a tourist.

  Хорошие просторные апартаменты, есть всё необходимое. Отличное расположение, рядом магазины и кафе, недалеко от парка и набережной.

  Отзывчивый владелец, смогли заселиться и выехать в удобное для нас время. В квартире было прохладно, что ожидаемо в ноябре, но работали обогреватель и кондиционер, поэтому квартира прогрелась за день.
  Квартира просторная, уютная и довольно тихая. Есть все необходимое. Рядом полно аптек, овощных, магазинов, ресторанов и кафе. Недалеко находится набережная и парк.

  The apartment is nice and clean, very cozy and cute. Even though there is only one bedroom, the apartment feels spacious.
  
  It's got a big kitchen/living room supplied with everything you might need for cooking. In the bedroom you'll find multiple sets of bedsheets, an extra blanket and pillows and a big amount of towels. The place has a lot of storage space, which makes unpacking fun.
  
  The apartment is located not far from the beach and the park. In the neighborhood there are convenient stores, pharmacies etc.
  
  While it was really hot outside, it was cooler in the apartment. We stayed there in the beginning of July, but only used AC twice.
  And the owner is very sweet and helpful.

  Расположение очень удобное , прекрасная транспортная доступность ! Квартира просторная и удобная – все для жизни есть : кондиционер , стиральная машинка , холодильник и тд ) очень контактный и лояльный хозяин – всегда на связи , очень отзывчивый ! Соотношение цена -качество просто супер !

  We stayed at these apartments in January. Overall, the apartment has everything you need. Convenient location, almost in the center of the city. The host was accommodating and handed over the keys to the apartment early in the morning, for which we are very grateful.
  
  What could be improved: The overall humidity level is quite high in Batumi, and the air conditioner faced some minor challenges in effectively dehumidifying the apartment. But overall, it's not a big problem.
