I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hotel Belvedere on Gorgasali Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place in this part of Batumi. But you know what? Sometimes the most pleasant surprises come from keeping your expectations in check. This little gem sits right in the heart of the old town, literally a two-minute walk from the main boulevard where all the action happens, but tucked away just enough that you’re not dealing with street noise at night.

The building itself has this sort of understated charm – nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained in a way that makes you feel like the owners actually care about the place. I mean, you can tell when a hotel is just going through the motions versus when someone’s paying attention to details. The lobby’s got this warm, lived-in feeling with local artwork on the walls, and honestly, the staff here knows their stuff. They’ll point you toward the good khachapuri spots (avoid the tourist traps on Rustaveli) and actually remember your name after day one. The rooms are what you’d expect for the price point – comfortable beds, decent-sized bathrooms, and those little touches that matter, like blackout curtains that actually block light and outlets positioned where you can actually use them.

What really sold me on this place was the breakfast situation. Nothing elaborate, but fresh bread, local cheese, and proper Georgian tea served in a small dining room where you end up chatting with other travelers. Plus, the location is honestly perfect for exploring – you’re walking distance from the Piazza, the seaside park, and that amazing Saturday market near the port where locals actually shop. The hotel sits on a quieter side street, so you get the benefit of being central without the chaos. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Batumi), but there’s usually space on the neighboring streets if you don’t mind walking a block. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who values character over luxury amenities and wants to feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some generic international chain.

  Awesome room with a small kitchenette but most exciting was the small washing machine. After 2 weeks of travelling and handwashing this was pure luxury. Room itself is neat tidy and exactly what you want. Bathroom looks brand new. Did I mention the washing machine 😆. Staff are friendly but no one man's the desk or anything so to speak. I they multi task. Hotel is located right next to the piazza which attracts every instagrammer in town . Spar supermarket across the road and 350 mts to local bus mall or cable car. Price is very reasonable.
  
  What could be improved: Nope was super happy but could have used a extra pillow but that's just our preference.

  What could be improved: Not all rooms have the same light design. Having already rested in this hotel we expected the same beautiful chandelier , but this time it was more modern design. The mirror is right above the bed so ther is no chance to see yourself fully. Otherwise all good

  We stayed this apartment in batumi, this is quite specious rooms, with well equipped kitchen, best part is location, it's at piazza square, all other places are just walk in distance, freedom square and batumi promenade is just 5-10min walk in from hotel, good staff but they don't know english, so need to use translator, best location and best hotel strongly recommend

  The location was perfect, and the room was wonderful, with everything we needed, including a lovely little balcony. The staff were happy to help us with our requests, and the room was kept clean.
  
  The hotel is right in the middle of the old town, with lots of nightlife options nearby and some wonderful Turkish and Arabic restaurants in the vicinity.
  
  What could be improved: The shower had some grime that could be cleaned up.
