Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first walked up to 5* Hotel Orbi City on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I was a bit confused by the name. The “5*” is right there in the title, but it’s actually a three-star place. Don’t let that throw you off though, because honestly? This spot punches way above its weight class.

The location is what really got me excited about this place. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Batumi Boulevard, and I mean the good part where all the locals hang out in the evenings, not just the touristy casino strip. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM – you’ll smell the khachapuri baking if your room faces that direction, which is either amazing or torturous depending on how you feel about being woken up by the smell of cheese bread. The staff actually pointed me toward some solid local spots when I asked, which you don’t always get at hotels in this price range. They seemed genuinely excited to share recommendations rather than just pushing the overpriced hotel restaurant.

What surprised me most was how quiet the rooms are, considering you’re right in the city center. I stayed there during the summer season when Batumi gets pretty hectic, and I could barely hear the street noise. The AC worked well too – and trust me, you’ll want that in July. The rooms themselves are clean and modern, nothing fancy but everything works properly. I appreciated that the shower actually had decent water pressure, which isn’t always a given in this part of Georgia. The WiFi was solid throughout the building, even in the elevator, which I only mention because I’ve been burned by spotty hotel internet too many times. One small thing that bugged me was the breakfast setup – it gets pretty crowded between 8 and 9 AM, so if you’re not an early riser, maybe plan to grab something from that bakery I mentioned instead. The 8.9 rating this place has earned makes total sense to me after staying there. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t, but what it does, it does really well. You’re getting honest value in a city where a lot of hotels either overcharge for their location or cut corners on the basics.

  Znakomite położenie. Piękny widok na morze, miasto i góry z 33 piętra. W bloku D nie było problemu z windami. Dobry kontakt z właścicielem. Odbiór klucza w recepcji bez problemu o 3.00 w nocy. Apartament wyposażony w niezbędne urządzenia.

  The area is great (very modern part of the town) with some really great restaurants close by) and apartment is modern and comfortable. We enjoyed the views from the 33rd floor a lot. There are two TVs in the apartment so our two kids didn't need to fight for what to watch 😉 For.the price we paid it was a bargain.
  
  What could be improved: The area is still partly a construction site so the entrance to the building was not so easy to find. A few minor problems with the reservation or the electronic key expiring in the middle of our stay have been solved by the owner relatively quickly.

  Это двухкомнатные апартаменты, мы проживали втроем с ребёнком – на такое количество человек – идеально. Высокий этаж, отличный вид на город и море, так же с балкона видно танцующие фонтаны. Чисто, есть минимально необходимый набор посуды. Телевизор и кондиционер в каждой комнате. Чайник, плитка, утюг и гладиная доска. В душевой хороший напор воды, ничего нигде не течёт. Единственный минус – Wi-Fi постоянно отваливается, если просто серфить соц сети и тд – хватает, для работы не удобно. Но если учесть смешную стоимость за двухкомнатный номер на это можно закрыть глаза)
