You know what struck me first about The Cosy Apartment? The name actually undersells it – this place has way more character than your typical apartment rental. I stumbled across it on Zurab Gorgiladze Street while wandering around Batumi last spring, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you’re trying to experience the real Georgia without being stuck right in the tourist chaos.

The thing about this three-star spot is that it punches well above its rating – I mean, a 9.6 score doesn’t just happen by accident. The owners clearly get what travelers actually want, not just what looks good in photos. The apartment itself feels lived-in but in the best way possible, like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place who actually has good taste. The kitchen is properly stocked (none of that one-fork, two-spoons nonsense you usually get), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which trust me, isn’t always a given in this part of the world. What really got me was the little touches – proper coffee in the cupboard, local honey, even a few Georgian wine recommendations handwritten on a card by the counter.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk from the main Boulevard and beach area, but that’s actually perfect because you miss all the late-night party noise while still being close enough to everything that matters. There’s a fantastic khachapuri place literally two doors down – the kind of spot locals queue up at, not just tourists – and the old cable car station is maybe five minutes on foot if you want those panoramic views over the Black Sea. Parking can be a bit tight on the street during summer months, but the host sorted that out with a quick phone call when I mentioned it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-handoff drama you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The building itself is one of those Soviet-era blocks that’s been thoughtfully renovated, so you get the authentic Batumi residential feel without the crumbling infrastructure headaches. I’d definitely come back – actually, I’m already eyeing dates for next year.

  Отличная квартира, хороший ремонт, есть всё необходимое, очень дружелюбная хозяйка, рядом большая детская площадка, до моря 5 минут пешком. Остались довольны.
  
  What could be improved: Мало лифтов на для такого большого дома и они медленные, иногда нужно долго ждать лифта, но это проблема всего дома, а не данной квартиры, говорят что лифты скоро будут менять.

  Storvrymlig lägenhet på 12 våningen av totalt 24med välutrustat kök, två sovrum, ett med dubbelsäng och ett med rymlig dusch och balkong. Mycket nära till allting inkl flera livsmedelsbutiker, restauranger, strandpromenaden och stranden. Ca 30 min att gå till gamla Batumi. Zina svarade snabbt mötte oss utanför huset och visade in i lägenheten.
  
  What could be improved: Hissarna- 3 hissar är alldeles för lite för detvenormt stora byggnaden. Kunde ta upp till 7-10 min att komma ner.
  Ett av sovrummen saknade fönstret ut. (Fönstret går till vardagsrummet ) Vi var nöjda med lägenheten trotts allt.
