The location is sort of perfect if you ask me – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Black Sea coast, but tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant buzz of tourists stumbling back from the casino district at 3 AM. I mean, Batumi can get pretty lively during peak season, but this little pocket stays surprisingly peaceful. The rooms face different directions, and honestly, even the ones without direct sea views are worth it because you catch these amazing glimpses of the water between buildings, plus the mountain backdrop that everyone forgets to mention when they talk about this coastal city. The beds are actually comfortable too – I’m picky about mattresses and usually pack my own pillow, but didn’t need to here.

What really sets this place apart though is how they handle the details. The breakfast spread changes daily and includes proper Georgian khachapuri alongside international options, the wifi actually works throughout the building (test it in the elevator – that’s my hotel internet litmus test), and there’s genuine 24-hour room service, not just the sad sandwich-and-chips version most places offer after 10 PM. The concierge team knows their stuff about local restaurants beyond the obvious tourist traps – they pointed me toward this incredible family-run place about ten minutes inland where I had the best khinkali of my entire Georgia trip. Parking can be a bit tight during summer months, but they’ve got it sorted with a small lot behind the building, and honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The botanical garden is an easy walk north, the old town’s historic charm is south, and everything in between is totally walkable. With a 9.7 rating, you’d expect premium pricing, but it’s actually reasonable for what you get, especially considering how quickly the good hotels in Batumi book up once word gets out.
