Seagull Beachfront Boutique Hotel Overview

You know what caught me off guard about the Seagull Beachfront Boutique Hotel? I mean, I’d seen the photos online, but stepping out onto that 12th-floor terrace for the first time – honestly, the view just hits different. Batumi’s coastline stretches out in both directions, and you can actually see the Alphabet Tower doing its slow rotation in the distance. The hotel sits right on Rejeb Nizharadze Street, which is perfect because you’re literally steps from the beach but far enough from the main Rustaveli Avenue chaos that you can actually sleep at night.

This five-star place has only 18 rooms, so it never feels crowded – I actually got to know the front desk staff by name during my stay. The owner clearly has an eye for design; there’s this subtle nautical theme throughout that manages to feel sophisticated rather than kitschy. Each room has these massive floor-to-ceiling windows, and the sea breeze naturally cools things down even in summer (though they do have excellent AC if you need it). The bathrooms are what really impressed me though – heated floors, rainfall showers, and they stock these amazing Georgian lavender toiletries from a local artisan. Small detail, but the kind that shows they’re paying attention.

What I loved most was how the staff treated the place like their own home. The concierge, Giorgi, didn’t just recommend restaurants – he’d call ahead to make sure they had the good wine available, or mention which dishes the chef was particularly proud of that evening. The breakfast spread changes based on what’s fresh at the local market, so I ended up trying khachapuri variations I’d never heard of. They’ve got this partnership with a nearby vineyard too, and honestly, sipping Saperavi while watching the sunset from their rooftop bar became my daily ritual. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator can be a bit slow during peak hours, but I mean, you’re staying on the 12th floor of what’s essentially a boutique tower – the views are worth the occasional wait. If you’re coming to Batumi and want something intimate with serious style, this spot delivers without trying too hard.

Hotels in Batumi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this coastal gem, with easy access to historic districts, vibrant nightlife, and renowned Black Sea beaches.

  • Wonderful – Daniel from Armenia – September 9, 2025 (9/10)

The host was very accomidating and let me check in early

What could be improved: It is a little far from downtown but its still a nice area

  • Great location, amazing stuff! – Kateryna from Poland – September 1, 2025 (10/10)

Great hotel! I've stayed in 3 different neighborhoods of Batumi and can definitely recommend this area.
It's quiet, developed, and you can get all the way to the center by the seaside walk (2-4km). However you can stay near the hotel and find great restaurants and food options nearby. The beach is only 2 minutes from the hotel or less.

The staff is amazing, extremely helpful and polite. (Daria from the reception was probably the nicest person I've met in the city). Thank you!

If you are planning a trip to Batumi, I'd definitely recommend this hotel!
