I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Orbi City Hotel D1 Block, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name. But walking into this place on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street completely changed my perspective on what a five-star experience in Batumi could be. The lobby hits you with this sleek, almost futuristic vibe that somehow doesn’t feel cold or sterile – there’s real warmth in the design choices, and you can tell they put serious thought into every detail.

What really impressed me (and I mean this) was how they’ve managed to create something that feels both luxurious and genuinely comfortable. The rooms are spacious without being overwhelming, and honestly, the views from the upper floors are incredible – you get this perfect mix of the Black Sea coastline and the city’s interesting architectural blend. I stayed during shoulder season in October, so it wasn’t crazy busy, but even then you could sense this place runs like clockwork. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which is rarer than you’d think even at high-end places. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out their system.

You know what struck me most though? It’s the location without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. Sure, you’re close to all the main Batumi attractions – the boulevard is an easy walk, and you can get to the cable car pretty quickly – but the hotel sits in this spot where you actually feel connected to how the city operates day to day. I’d walk out in the morning and there’d be locals heading to work, actual neighborhood cafés nearby, that sort of thing. The soundproofing is excellent too, which matters because Batumi can get lively, especially on weekends. I barely heard any street noise, even facing the main road. Parking was straightforward, which honestly surprised me given how compact this part of the city gets. The restaurant serves this interesting fusion of Georgian and international cuisine – I mean, it’s hotel food, but it’s genuinely good hotel food. And room service actually arrives when they say it will, still hot. The spa facilities are worth using if you have time; nothing groundbreaking, but well-maintained and not overcrowded. With a 9.9 rating, my expectations were pretty high going in, and I’d say they delivered on that promise without feeling like they were trying too hard to impress.

  Мы останавливались в апартаментах Block D1 и остались очень довольны. Апартаменты находятся прямо у Нового бульвара, всего в 5 минутах пешком от пляжа. С балкона открывается потрясающий вид на море, горы и город. Просторная, светлая квартира (~30 м²) с современной мини-кухней: холодильником, плитой, микроволновкой, посудой и чайником. Есть стиральная машина, кондиционер, качественный интернет. Хозяин оперативно реагирует на просьбы. Приветливый персонал всегда на связи и готов помочь. Лифты перегружены в пик сезона, возможны очереди – но это компенсируется видом с высоты. В целом однозначно рекомендую апартаменты от этого владельца
