Hotel Salvador Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Salvador? Walking up Griboedov Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the exterior – it’s this sort of unassuming building tucked between some older Soviet-era structures. But step inside and it’s a completely different story. The lobby actually feels warm and inviting, not like those sterile chain hotels you see everywhere. I mean, sure, it’s a four-star property, but they’ve managed to keep this personal touch that’s pretty rare in Batumi these days.
The location is actually brilliant once you figure out the neighborhood. Griboedov Street might sound intimidating if you’re not familiar with the area, but it’s genuinely one of those perfect spots where you’re close enough to everything without being right in the tourist chaos. You can walk to the Boulevard in maybe ten minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and there’s this little bakery two blocks down that locals queue up at every morning around 8 AM. The staff at Salvador definitely know their stuff too; they pointed me toward this family-run wine bar that I never would’ve found otherwise, tucked away in one of those narrow side streets that don’t show up on Google Maps.
What really impressed me was how they handle the practical stuff that other places mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building – I was video calling from the top floor without issues. Parking can be a bit tricky on Griboedov itself, but there’s a small lot behind the building that most guests don’t seem to know about. The rooms are honestly well-thought-out; mine had this little reading nook by the window where you could watch the street life below with your morning coffee. The shower pressure is excellent, which sounds mundane but trust me, after a long day exploring Batumi’s humid summer heat, it matters. I stayed there during peak season in August, and while the neighborhood gets lively in the evenings – there’s a popular restaurant across the street – it quiets down by midnight. The 8.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there; it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top, just genuinely good at what it does. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed home rather than a generic hotel box, Salvador hits that sweet spot perfectly.
To book hotel in Batumi during the famous Black Sea Jazz Festival, visitors should make reservations well in advance as this coastal city attracts beach lovers and cultural enthusiasts from around the world.

Generic, but functionally great hotel close to the seaside. – Adam from Austria – August 4, 2025 (10/10)
A nice, modern hotel close to the beach. The staff was very kind and helpful, spoke good English, the room had all the needed amenities. There was even a splendid restaurant in the hotel basement and a pool as well.
