Hotel Kanzler Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Kanzler? The elevator ride to reception on the 36th floor – I mean, most hotels put their lobby on the ground floor, but here you’re immediately getting these sweeping views of Batumi before you’ve even checked in. It’s actually pretty clever when you think about it, though I’ll admit I was slightly confused at first wandering around the ORBI CITY complex looking for the entrance.

This four-star place sits right in the heart of the new Batumi, and honestly, the location works really well if you want to be close to the modern side of things. Sherif Khimshiashvili Street puts you walking distance from the newer restaurants and that whole developing waterfront area – you can actually see the Ferris wheel and the Alphabet Tower from most of the higher floors. The rooms themselves are pretty solid for what you’re paying; nothing groundbreaking, but clean, modern, and those floor-to-ceiling windows really make the space feel bigger than it is. I stayed during peak summer season and while the air conditioning kept up just fine, you could definitely hear the city buzz below – not exactly a dealbreaker, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know the area well. When I asked about getting to the old town, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he told me about the marshrutka routes and mentioned which streets to avoid during rush hour. That kind of local insight makes a difference, you know? The building itself is part of this larger ORBI development, so you’ve got shops and restaurants right in the complex, which is handy for late-night snacks or if you need to grab something quick. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too – they’ve got spaces in the complex garage, though it fills up pretty fast during wedding season (apparently this area is popular for events). With a 7.6 rating, it’s sitting right in that sweet spot where you’re getting good value without any major surprises, good or bad. It’s not going to wow you, but it won’t let you down either, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Batumi.

  Отель расположен на 36 этаже и с балкона открывался прекрасный вид на Батуми. Персонал отзывчивый и всегда готов прийти на помощь. Отдельное спасибо девочкам на кухне – шикарный кофе! Завтрак разнообразный и очень порадовал свежеприготовленный омлет! Большое спасибо!

  Были в июле 23г. Очень приветливый персонал, отзывались на все наши просьбы, девочки большие молодцы. Завтрак скромный, но все есть, что необходимо, без излишеств. В номерах хороший ремонт, слышимости, что делается в соседних номерах нет. Рядом продуктовый магазин, пляж в пешей доступности.
  
  What could be improved: ОЧЕНЬ ОЧЕНЬ много людей в данном здании. На 1 этаже круглые сутки огромные толпы народа, лифт всегда переполнен. Но правда, долго мы не стояли в ожидании лифта. Отель находится на 36 этаже, по приезду мы сначала не могли сообразить, что необходимо поехать на 36 этаж, т.к. на первом находится ресепшен другого отеля.

  What could be improved: The breakfast is not good enough. The staff is not helpful at all. The cleaning lady did not bring all the supplies to us and when we checked out, they told us where are the supplies that they did not bring and they caused us inconvenience.
