Holiday Premium Apartments Batumi sits on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street in what’s honestly one of the better residential pockets of Batumi – you know, away from the casino madness but close enough that you can walk to the action when you want it. I stayed here last spring and was actually surprised by how quiet it felt, considering you’re basically in the heart of everything.

The thing about this four-star setup is that it really does feel more like borrowed apartments than a typical hotel, which I mean in the best way possible. The units are spacious – like, properly spacious where you can actually unpack your stuff and not live out of a suitcase. My kitchen had everything I needed to make proper Georgian khachapuri (well, my terrible version of it anyway), and there’s something refreshing about having morning coffee on your own little balcony instead of fighting for a spot in some crowded hotel breakfast room. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, which honestly can’t be said for every place in Batumi – I was taking calls from the US without any drama.

What really sold me on the place was the location specifics that you only figure out after wandering around. You’re maybe eight minutes on foot from the Batumi Boulevard, but more importantly, you’re right near that stretch where locals actually hang out. There’s this little bakery two blocks down that does amazing lobiani in the mornings, and the Carrefour is close enough that you can grab groceries without it being a whole expedition. The parking situation is way better than most places in the city center – they’ve got their own spots, which is basically gold in Batumi during summer season. Check-in was straightforward, though the front desk isn’t 24/7, so don’t roll up at 2 AM expecting someone to be there. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained, not like some of the newer constructions that seem to be held together with hope and paint. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about it that makes you want to extend your trip by a few days.

  What could be improved: Die Ausstattung war zum Teil desolat. Im Schlafzimmer wurde es im August sehr heiß und wegen der Lautstärke der Straße, konnte man in der Nacht kein Fenster öffnen. Leider gab es nur im Wohnzimmer eine Klimaanlage.

  What could be improved: Не работал WiFi, в санузле пахло канализацией, под окноми дома расположен ночной клуб в котором играла музыка до 6 утра, причем играла так что стены тряслись! Утром сказал об этом персоналу и попросил скидку на что получил ответ что они не в чем не виноваты и даже извинения не принесли((
