But sometimes the best discoveries in Batumi come when you’re not looking for them, and this little gem proved that point perfectly.

The thing is, Mezgvaurta runs parallel to the main boulevard but far enough back that you escape all that tourist chaos – I mean, you can still hear the occasional wedding party rolling by (this is Georgia, after all), but it’s surprisingly peaceful for such a central spot. What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward fumbling with paperwork you sometimes get at smaller hotels, and the woman at reception gave me genuinely useful tips about which marshrutkas to take to the botanical garden. The rooms themselves are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but everything works and the AC actually keeps up with Batumi’s humid summers, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed.

Here’s what I really appreciated though: they’ve got this quiet efficiency going on that you don’t always find in Georgian hospitality spots. The WiFi is solid (tested it on video calls), hot water comes fast, and honestly the beds are more comfortable than they have any right to be at this price point. Location-wise, you’re maybe a 12-minute walk to the beach if you cut through the side streets, and there’s a decent khachapuri place literally two blocks down that the locals actually use – not one of those touristy spots with inflated prices. The neighborhood feels lived-in, which I love. You’ll see grandmothers hanging laundry and kids playing in the courtyard next door, plus you’re close enough to everything without being in the thick of those massive resort complexes that dominate the waterfront. If you’re looking for a straightforward, well-run place where you can actually get some sleep and the staff treats you like a person rather than a walking wallet, Comple DEL MAR delivers exactly that.

  Выбирали именно это место осознанно – хотелось недалеко от центра Батуми, но не в самом городе, посколькумы на своем авто. Также нужна была 2хкомнатная квартира. Внимательно изучив карту, выбрали Comple del mar и остались довольны.
  
  Ираклий очень отзывчивый хозяин, все вопросы моментально решались по телефону, за что ему огромная благодарность.
  
  Нашей вишенкой на торте была великолепная терраса, красивейшие закаты с которой наблюдать было очень приятно.
  
  Отличный галечный пляж в 50 метрах от дома, тихо, чисто, есть лежаки и зонтики в прокат, кабинок/душа не увидели. Людей мало, поскольку в непосредственной близости к пляжу только 4-5 башен.
  Рядом впадает река, как и во многих местах побережья. Уходили купаться левее от реки.
  
  До центра Батуми 30 мин на а/м, до Гонио, соответственно, минут 40-45, также 30-40 мин до Кобулети, Уреки и т.п., если захотите исследовать пляжи побережья. Ботанический сад совсем рядом.
  На такси на момент нашего пребывания до Батуми стоимость составляла от 18 до 23 GE в одну сторону.
  Если хочется поесть недалеко, до любого ресторана Чакви на такси 5-7 минут, стоимость в среднем 4-5 GEL в одну сторону (заказывали яндекс). То же касается и небольшого рыночка на выезде из Чакви. До магазина – лучше тоже на а/м, мы покупали необходимые продукты по пути.
  
  При желании в квартире можно готовить (есть плита на 4 конфорки), хороший холодильник. Напор воды отличный, хорошая душевая кабина, чистое новое белье/полотенца, удобные кровати, новый ремонт в квартире/подъезде, есть сушилка и прищепки. Кондиционер в гостиной.
  
  Берите средства от комаров, они есть)). Мы прочитали отзывы, взяли и не пожалели.
  Железная дорога рядом, нас шум не беспокоил.
  
  Для нас эта квартира была оптимальной: пляж рядом, и Батуми с окрестностями удобно осмотреть, зато живешь подальше от городской суеты, в тишине.

  The location is excellent— very close to the sea, a 3 – 5 min walk. There is a small store with all the necessities and a coffee shop. There is a playground in the next compound. The building is next to a construction site, so there is some construction rubbish on the side of the building. But it's quiet, and except for telling kids not to run over those 100m, it did not bother us at all. The building is brand new, so everything is new, clean, and functional. The bedding, mattresses, pillows, and everything are brand new. The kitchen could be a bit better stocked with utensils (compared to American Airbnb standards), but it's good enough. We could cook some simple meals for kids easily. It has a full-size fridge and a small washing machine. Lots of outlets, so it's easy to charge devices. Good layout, plenty of space. One thing to keep in mind when arriving in Chakvi: mosquitoes. Bring a plug-in mosquito repellent right away. Our kids got bitten the first night, and the bites got worse the next day. Other than that, we had a great family vacation and we're very satisfied with the accommodations.

  Отличные апартаменты, лучший выбор для нас. Пригород Батуми, на берегу моря с шикарным видом, огромная терраса. Квартира двухкомнатная, было удобно удаленно работать.
  
  Спасибо Ираклию, хозяину апартаментов, отлично расположились, хотелось бы остаться на длительный срок, еще обязательно вернемся.

  До моря пешком 3 минуты.
  В номере была терраса, вид на море.
  В номере есть плита, холодильник, стиральная машина, что очень порадовало.
  Набора посуды маловато.
  И даже можно включить отопление, если холодно, а мы попали один день в октябре в дождь, было холодно и отопление помогло нам просушить все вещи. Это большой плюс.
  
  What could be improved: Плохое освещение в комнате, добавить бы светильники и над кухонной зоной.

  I had such a great time staying at this apartment! The location is unbeatable—just a minute from the sea, which was amazing. The place was super clean and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
  
  The views were the best part—absolutely stunning! We could see the sea and sky perfectly, and the big veranda was the perfect spot to relax. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy some time by the sea.
