And if you’re into exploring, the cable car station is maybe a fifteen-minute walk – I did that sunset ride up to the hilltop and honestly, seeing Batumi spread out below with the sea stretching to the horizon was worth the whole trip. The hotel’s 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, just doing the basics really, really well. Plus, parking is actually manageable here, which anyone who’s driven through Batumi’s narrow streets will tell you is no small miracle.
