What really sold me on this place was the location within ORBI CITY itself. You’re literally steps from the beach – and I mean the actual good part of Batumi’s coastline, not some rocky afterthought. The building sits right where you can walk out and be on the sand in maybe two minutes. Plus, you’ve got this whole complex around you with restaurants, shops, even a casino if that’s your thing. The pedestrian area along the waterfront is perfect for evening walks, and you can see all those famous Batumi landmarks – the Alphabet Tower, the Ferris wheel – without having to trek across the city. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Georgian beach towns during summer will tell you is no small miracle. The elevators can get a bit busy during peak times (this is a popular spot with both tourists and locals), but the staff actually manages the flow pretty well. I stayed during shoulder season and barely waited, though I imagine July and August might be different. One small thing – the balconies face different directions depending on which unit you get, so if sea views are crucial, definitely specify that when booking. The mountain-facing rooms are nice too, but come on, you’re in Batumi for the Black Sea experience, right?
