The building itself is part of the Orbi City complex, which sounds fancy but is really just one of those modern residential developments that sprouted up during Batumi’s construction boom – think clean lines, decent elevators, and that slightly sterile but comfortable feeling you get in newer buildings.

What really got me about this place, though, was how the owners managed to create something genuinely welcoming on the fourth floor of what could have been just another apartment conversion. The rooms have this surprisingly homey feel – not trying too hard to be boutique-y, but not cookie-cutter corporate either. You’ll find yourself looking out at the neighborhood below, watching locals go about their daily routines, which beats staring at another hotel across the street any day. The location works better than you’d expect, actually – you’re close enough to walk to the old town when you want that postcard Georgia experience, but far enough away that you can grab dinner at one of those little family-run places where they don’t automatically hand you an English menu. Plus, and this matters if you’re planning to explore beyond the city center, getting to the marshrutkas or finding a taxi here is refreshingly straightforward compared to some of the more touristy areas where drivers assume you’re desperate enough to pay whatever they quote first.
