Station 22 Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Station 22 Hotel? The name makes it sound like some converted railway building, but it’s actually this sleek, modern place right on Chavchavadze Street – and I mean right in the thick of things in Batumi. When I first walked up, I was expecting something more industrial or quirky, but honestly, it’s got this polished four-star vibe that somehow still feels approachable. The lobby has these clean lines and warm lighting that immediately made me think “okay, they know what they’re doing here.”
The location is honestly perfect if you want to actually experience Batumi rather than just see it from a tourist bus. Chavchavadze Street puts you walking distance from the old town – I’m talking like a genuine five-minute stroll to those charming cobblestone areas where locals actually hang out. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re also super close to the beach without being right on the noisy beachfront strip where it’s all clubs and crowds until 3 AM. The staff seemed to really know their stuff too, and I appreciated that they could give directions to places that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. When I asked about where to find good khachapuri (because let’s be real, that’s essential), they pointed me toward this little family place two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise.
What really sold me on the place, though, was how they’ve managed to keep things comfortable without going overboard. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not playing Tetris with your luggage, and the beds are actually good – like, I-slept-through-the-night-on-vacation good, which doesn’t always happen. The bathrooms are modern and clean, with decent water pressure, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’ve been walking around all day. I stayed during shoulder season, so I can’t speak to how crazy it gets in peak summer, but the whole building felt well-maintained and quiet. The breakfast was solid too – not just continental hotel stuff, but some local options mixed in that gave you a taste of Georgian flavors without having to venture out before coffee. If you’re looking for something reliable in Batumi that puts you in the middle of everything without the chaos, Station 22 definitely delivers on that promise.

Reviews of Station 22 Hotel
Decent hotel, recommend it – Igor from Poland – September 8, 2025 (9/10)
– free luggage storage
– nice sweden table for breakfast
– reception available the whole day
What could be improved: – very bright light in the bathroomClean and quiet stay, perfect location – Ivanova from France – September 3, 2025 (10/10)
Clean and quiet stay. Large choice at the breakfast buffet. Pool on the rooftop. Close to the bus station (marschrutka terminal) and to the old city center.
Wonderful – John from United Kingdom – August 25, 2025 (9/10)
Great place. Tasteful design, fresh and modern. The location is great for the old neighbourhood and main attractions. Staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. I’d stay here again.
What could be improved: More feedback than dislikes: the room needs a table or some surface in the room – there’s literally nowhere to put anything. Also, it would be good if it was possible to turn off the bathroom extractor fan which is quite noisy when running all night.Exceptional – Tamir from Israel – August 22, 2025 (10/10)
The staff is welcoming and available for inquiries. The hotel looks new and modern design. The room was comfortable, new linens and towels! There is a lovely paved courtyard with outdoor furniture. Very convenient location in a central area, yet in the hotel itself you don't feel the effect of the busy street. Nice breakfast.
What could be improved: I love cappuccino for breakfast, but there was no coffee machine in the hotel.Amazing place and awesome staff – Mohammad from United Arab Emirates – August 7, 2025 (10/10)
Very cozy and nice hotel in the heart of old Batumi. Location is amazing close to the bus station and traditional market. The design, breakfast and rooms are amazing. The staff are very amazing and helpful and supportive. This is very important in Georgia as I faced bad attitude from staff in a few hotels during my 2 weeks stay in the country!
What could be improved: Actually nothing. It's great value of money and I prefer to stay in old Batumi rather than the new one as it's less crowded and close to all attractions and beach.Everything ok we like it thank you – Thomas from Switzerland – August 5, 2025 (10/10)
Breakfast was fine
Exceptional – Menabde from Georgia – August 1, 2025 (10/10)
An amazing place in the heart of Old Batumi.
The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean and well-kept.
The atmosphere is cozy – although the hotel entrance is on a busy street, once you step inside, you're completely cut off from the noise and can enjoy perfect peace and quiet.
There’s an inflatable pool on the rooftop with a beautiful view and a sunbathing area. Breakfast is good as well.
It’s close to Piazza and other important spots like restaurants, the cable car, and shops.
If you enjoy walking, you can reach the fish market on foot and try some incredibly delicious seafood — and of course, there’s public transport too 🙈
The sea is just a 10-minute walk away.
I will definitely return to Batumi, and this hotel will be one of the main reasons why.Exceptional – Pavel from Finland – July 24, 2025 (10/10)
nice yard, quite and cool
Exceptional – Jun from Japan – July 5, 2025 (10/10)
Great location, great staff, great room.
What could be improved: Really minor: I stayed at 204, and the shower turned out to be hot with a blue mark and cold with a red mark, haha. Initially confused.A quality vacation experience – E from Turkey – July 3, 2025 (9/10)
I had previously stayed in Tbilisi and since I knew the breakfast of that region, the breakfast of the hotel was above my expectations. Everything from nuts to fresh fruit was very good. The two friends at the reception were very interested. In fact, I think his name is Andrey (the new employee) always approached my problems in a solution-oriented way, I would like to thank him. On the other hand, the attendant with the injured foot helped me as much as he could, thank you to him too. The size, cleanliness and newness of the room was great. The hotel is really very, very central. I didn't need a taxi outside the airport. By the way, the number 10 bus stops in front of the hotel.
What could be improved: I didn't get room service for 4 days of my stay. My trash was full of water bottles 🙂 But the attention of the staff, the very good breakfast, the location of the hotel in the center and the cleanliness / size of the room made me forget this negative situation. In short, everything was very nice. I will stay at this Station22 again on another trip to Batumi.
