Walking up to Sea Star on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, you immediately get that feeling this place knows what it’s doing. The building has this clean, modern look that fits perfectly with Batumi’s evolving skyline — not trying too hard to be flashy, but definitely polished. What struck me right away was how the staff actually seemed happy to see guests arrive, which honestly isn’t always a given at four-star hotels. There’s this relaxed confidence about the whole operation that puts you at ease from the moment you step inside.

Location & Getting Around

The location is honestly brilliant — you’re close enough to hear the Black Sea but far enough from the main tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. Sherif Khimshiashvili Street is one of those spots where locals actually live and work, so you get a real feel for Batumi beyond the casino lights and beach crowds. I mean, you can walk to the old town in about ten minutes, but you’re also surrounded by genuine Georgian cafes and shops. The parking situation is a huge plus too — having your own secure spot in Batumi is like striking gold, especially during summer when the city gets absolutely packed.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d want after a long day exploring — spacious enough to spread out but cozy enough to feel like a proper retreat. The windows are generous, and if you’re lucky enough to get a sea-facing side, the morning light is just perfect. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets where you actually need them, decent water pressure, and air conditioning that works without sounding like a helicopter. The beds are properly comfortable too, which you know matters more than any fancy amenities when you’re actually trying to sleep.

The breakfast spread here is honestly impressive — they’ve managed to cover pretty much every dietary preference you can think of without it feeling overwhelming. Continental classics sit alongside Georgian specialties, and they actually do a proper Full English if that’s your thing. I was surprised by how good the local options were; the khachapuri alone makes it worth getting up early. The restaurant area has this nice buzz in the morning, with a mix of business travelers, couples, and families all finding their groove. They even do breakfast to go if you’re the type who wants to grab something and head straight to the beach.

What really sets Sea Star apart is how it balances being professional without feeling stuffy. Couples seem to particularly love this place — and I can see why, since there’s something romantic about being close to the sea while still having all the modern comforts sorted. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward the good stuff that isn’t in every guidebook. Plus, that perfect 10 rating isn’t just numbers — you can feel it in how smoothly everything runs, from check-in to checkout. It’s the kind of place where you spend less time thinking about the hotel and more time enjoying Batumi, which is exactly how it should be.

• Просторная студия в Орби с видом на море – Vol25 from Russia – August 27, 2025 (10/10)

  Большая, относительно других Орби, студия с замечательным балконом на двоих. Удобное расположение балкона (под углом, стеклянной стенкой к морю), за счёт чего достигается панорамный вид). Солнышко утром, днём тенёк. Лифт (их 6) приезжает обычно в течении минуты, но если вам, как и мне, не хватает кардио нагрузки, то подъем пешком на 27 этаж занимает примерно 6-7 минут.
  
  What could be improved: Из минусов, пожалуй, кому-то может быть шумновато вечерами, т.к.на набережной до поздней ночи работают аттракционы и всевозможные развлечения. Мне это скорее не мешало.

  Прекрасное месторасположение. С 27этажа открывается шикарный вид на море и побережье. Очень много увеселительных мест. Шумно, но закрывая на ночь балкон(есть кондиционер), в комнате становится очень тихо, спатишь в тишине. Лифт в конце коридора удобнее среднего и поднимает сразу начиная с 20этажа, т.е. без остановок на каждом этаже. Комната большая. Кравать большая, диван ещё раскладывается очень большой. Маскитная сетка на балконе. Есть возможность подняться на самый верх(34этаж). Там весь город как на ладони, удобно можно посидеть на этом ооогрооменной панораме. Сходите обязательно! Это самое замечательное место в Батуми! До пляжа, только дорогу, сразу от входа, можно перейти и 50метров по прямой. Вечером, на улице можно поиграть в бильярд и настольный теннис. Не далеко есть бильярдный клуб "Пирамида", там и русский бильярд есть. Или рядом есть дискотека, рестораны с живой музыкой. Всё для любого возраста и вкуса.
  Нам очень понравилось! Обязательно вернёмся сюда!

  отличное расположение, лифт не так долго ждать, это несомненный плюс. Ничуть не хуже новых орби. все есть для жизни и комфорта, хозяин отличный, пошёл на встречу с ранним заселением. Однозначно рекомендую
