You know what caught me off guard about Apartment? I was expecting some generic rental situation, but this three-star spot on Javakhishvili Street actually has some serious character. I mean, the name doesn’t give much away, but once you’re there – honestly, it feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a typical hotel.

The location is what really makes this work. Javakhishvili Street isn’t one of those crazy touristy strips where you can’t sleep because of street noise, but you’re still close enough to Batumi’s main action that you can walk pretty much everywhere. I found myself appreciating that balance – you get these quiet morning moments on the street (there’s actually a little bakery two doors down that starts up around 7 AM with the most incredible khachapuri smell), but then you’re maybe ten minutes from the waterfront and all that seaside energy. The building itself has this slightly vintage Georgian feel, nothing too fancy, but there’s something authentic about it that you don’t get in the newer constructions.

What I really liked was how the whole setup felt practical without being sterile. The apartment – and yeah, it really does feel more like an apartment than a hotel room – has enough space that you’re not living out of your suitcase, plus there’s actually decent natural light, which matters more than you think when you’re trying to figure out your day. The rating speaks for itself honestly, but what struck me was the attention to small stuff that actually makes a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. I’m talking about things like having enough outlets near the bed, decent water pressure, and – this might sound weird – but proper hangers in the closet instead of those flimsy wire things. The whole experience felt like someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just checking boxes. Batumi can get pretty humid, especially in summer, and the ventilation here actually works, which I learned the hard way at other places in the area. If you’re the type who likes having your own space to decompress after a day of exploring the old town or dealing with the casino crowds, this hits that sweet spot between comfort and location without breaking the bank.
